Haiku Deluge

Rain falling lightly
Outside the sky is giving
Grace I may soon need

Curiosity
Unfulfilled inside my head
Wondering what if

Little feet running
Quickly, clumsily through grass
Unbidden tears leap

Blood pumping faster
Adrenaline pushes through
Essence of desire

Snapping turtles feast
Muddy feathers dark in water
Soul washing away

When the rain falls down
And the oak begins to weep
My thoughts will be there
